Me a Blogger? Noooo...
Why did I start writing a blog?
I have flirted with this idea in my head many a time and could never bring myself to do it. However, I have come to terms with a lot of things about myself, in the past week, things that I needed to change. One of those things, and perhaps the most important, would be over thinking EVERYTHING. I like to analyze my options before I make a concrete decision. This aspect of my thought process is neither inherently detrimental, nor is it a negative trait to possess. It is important to be aware of the Pros and Cons of a situation as opposed to blindly making permanent decisions that can alter one's life drastically. Notwithstanding, I have a problem with the way I think. I have a problem with the fact that I must get down to the core of everything and seek to understand every last detail before I can act. I need to scrutinize and analyze and scrutinize again before I make a move, and quite frankly it takes the enjoyment out of living in some instances. There are some things that are not meant to be understood.
"The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of his law." Deuteronomy 29:29 (KJV)
That being said, life does not come with a manual. I have had a lot of guidance in my life time, but sometimes it is good just to have some feedback, encouragement, or maybe even support from an unknown source who has gone through situations similar or even identical to the ones you have faced. No judgment, no bias, no ulterior motive. Just sincerity. My goal for this blog is to share my experiences (successes, challenges, frustrations, perceptions, etc.) on the things that I've been through in hopes to empower others, especially women to dream big and to achieve the goals they set out for themselves. I want to nurture "Mind, Body, and Spirit" through practical and spiritual advice that have helped me in my journey. And finally, I hope that reading this blog brings the reader peace and a little bit of understanding for his/her purpose in life and what God wants to achieve through him/her.
Stay Blessed and Remember with God we can do ALL things but without him we can accomplish nothing.
