Looking at the BIGGER picture
As I have already confessed, I tend to over think things a lot. And just recently, in the past week to be exact, I have made a resolution of sorts. Not a New Year's resolution that everyone makes to inevitably forget about or just simply allow to fall to the wayside mid-February. I made this resolution to myself as a means to better myself. I have already realized that I can't figure out everything on my own, and there are some things in this life that I just won't understand. So, with this new-found enlightenment I have decided to look at the bigger picture. Instead of trying to figure out the minute details and instead of becoming frustrated with myself for not being able to understand the cause, purpose, or nature of my current circumstance I am going to take a deep breath and a step back. I have always heard that its easier to see things when one is on the outside looking in. It seems like nonsense until one really takes that point of view. When one simply views his circumstance from the angle he finds himself it is impossible to look at the bigger picture. But once he takes a step back, he can then see that there is a whole different dynamic behind his focal point. It is God's will for us to take a step back to behold the backdrop of the scene.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
God always has a plan. He is well aware of what He does and of the purpose for which He does such things. Furthermore, God will never lead us astray. His plans and His thoughts are those of peace and of blessings. He never puts us through a situation or a test through ill well. His desire is for us to better ourselves, and although we may not understand it in the very moment, if we take a step back to look at the bigger picture our eyes will be opened to His purpose: prosperity. No matter how it may look on the inside, there is a bigger picture designed for us to prosper. So, beloved, be not discouraged. Take a deep breath. Take a step back. Let go, and Let God. And finally, enjoy the view because when we look at the bigger picture the sun is brighter and the rain doesn't last always.
Stay Blessed.
